Order transmission - Interfaces

You can store your data directly in the main directory using your sFTP access.

All files must initially be transmitted with a file ending of “.tmp”. After successful transmission and validation by your system, please rename the file to the corresponding file type. Our validation ignores all files with a file ending of “.tmp”, so this will prevent the processing of incompletely transmitted data.

It is important for files to be assigned unique names. XML, PDF and image files are all located together. Only those PDF and image files are imported that are declared in an XML file.

Since there is no direct response for success or failure with this transmission type, the response is based on the filename of the XML file. Please ensure that this name uniquely identifies only one transfer so that you can assign responses unambiguously (transaction references).

In case of failure, the data is deleted and you will have to retransmit it.

All unknown / unassignable files will be deleted and returned as a general error.

Example sequence

  • Transmit all binaries to the sFTP server using the ending .tmp
  • After transmission, rename the files
  • Transmit an order XML with the ending .tmp
  • After transmission, rename the file

Transmitting the files

Store all data (XML and binaries) directly in the home directory. So do not specify any path in the XML, just the filename.

Server

URL: transfer1.pdi.elanders-germany.com
Port: 22
Protocols: sFTP, SCP
Authorized Keys: RFC 4716

Note:

We only offer the encrypted transmission of data. Unencrypted transmission, for example through FTP, is not supported!

Pickup printdata

It is possible to transfer a XML file only and specify where to pick up the print data there.

e.g.
Static/predefined FTP/sFTP: fetch://directory/filename.ext
HTTP/HTTPS: http(s)://server.ltd/directory/filename.ext

Testing

There is no separate sandbox Sysstem.
To sent test orders set the tag “order_type” to TEST in the XML file.
